Documentaries
My background in editing education documentaries initially provided me with leanings to a more natural look when beginning a grade.
Since working with various clients and DOP's I often take this natural, vivid starting point and develop something more exciting or distinct through collaboration.
Short films are a medium where there is both more scope for experimentation depending on the subject matter and also the chance to create more dramatic looks with a variety of lighting setups.
The last short film I graded 'Then and Now' stars Julian Glover (Game of Thrones, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Star Wars Episode V and many others) and also features sound design from Academy Award winner Glenn Freemantle (Gravity).
I am happy to provide a free consultation about any upcoming projects either at a convenient location with my more portable equipment or at the facilities I work from if there is footage that would benefit from some initial grading to give an insight into different looks for the project.

This control surface allows a much faster workflow because of the multiple commands on offer from the custom trackball mechanisms and 41 function keys.
For any lower budget projects I can also work remotely from my home setup with a calibrated monitor and Avid Artist Colour control surface.
